Airchal AHU BIG series

This concept is particularly suitable for hygienic applications or low-temperature applications. Our approach integrates self-supporting structural panels, inducing high levels of rigidity and enhanced resistance over time.   Clean Concept technology optimizes the performance of systems. This applies not only for secondary systems, but also in terms of system maintenance. Our Air Handling Systems are designed for simplified maintenance.   The food industry involves many complex applications, and generally combines strict hygiene levels with low temperatures. AIRCHAL can offer air handling systems incorporating a suitable solution to avoid condensation forming on walls and ensure easy cleaning and maintenance. Three types of approach exist, ranging from standard design, which will meet most requirements, to anti-thermal bridge solutions, not forgetting structures with strong resistance to pressure and seismic forces.

Air Handling Units BIG Series

Casing Design

The units have a self supporting construction with a chamber. A box into the box concept. The 50-120 mm thick casing panels are double-skinned. Up to size 120mm, the inside sheet is 0.75 mm and the outer sheet is 0.75 mm galvanized steel. Coatings (standard RAL 9010 ) or stainless steel (1.4307 or 1.4404)  or Magnelis ® paneling are available upon request. The rockwool mats inserted between the skins of the panels are non-flammable and also have acoustic and thermal insulating properties.Mechanical resistance :D2(M):

Panel connections

The panels for CC Clean Concept are self supporting, and fixed to the casing. The isolation into the panel is pressed and glued between the panels in this case to increase the rigidity. The optimal air leak tightness is achieved by sealing between the inside panel and the other panels.

Base Frame

U-shaped support bar, 60 – 160 mm Painted (standard RAL 9010 ) or galvanized steel,

Air Volume

Standard : 500-450.000 m³/h

 In combination with gasburners, steam, water, air.

Thermal properties

Thermal transmittance :T2 (0,98 W/m²K) Thermal bridging coefficient :TB2 (kb: 0,73) Bypass leakage :F9 Enclosure leaktightness :L1 +700 Pa => L1 (M): 0,07 l/(sm²) Enclosure leaktightness: L1 -400 Pa => L1 (M): 0,01 l/(sm²).

POLCC Clean Concept Polyester

Air Handling Units POLCC Series up to -35°C (polyester)

This polyester concept is particularly suitable for hygienic applications or low-temperature(-35°C) applications. Our approach integrates self-supporting polyester panels, inducing high levels of rigidity and enhanced resistance over time.  Clean Concept technology optimises the performance of systems. This applies not only for secondary systems, but also in terms of system maintenance. Our Air Treatment Systems are designed for simplified maintenance. The know-how gained in the execution of countless Polyester AHUs used in the fields of food industry. The air handling system does not only serve for air conditioning but must also be easy to clean.

Our new design makes it possible to replace  coils and fans without damaging or cutting the casing.

Energy efficiency

The main factors which are important for the energy efficiency of an air handling unit are the air velocity in the profile unit face as well as the electric power consumption of the fan which is dependent on the air volume and pressure increase.

The units have a self supporting construction with a chamber. The 80 mm thick casing panels are double-skinned, the inside sheet an the outer sheet is polyester reinforced. Coatings (standard RAL 9010 ). The panels have acoustic and thermal insulating properties.

The panels for POLCC Polyester Clean Concept are rigidly constructed using polyester.  The optimal air leak tightness is achieved.

CC Clean Concept Standard

An Air Handling Unit (AHU) is used to re-condition and circulate air as part of a heating, ventilating and air-conditioning system.

Casing design

The units have a self supporting construction with a chamber. The 50 mm thick casing panels are double-skinned. Up to size 100mm, the inside sheet is 0.75 mm and the outer sheet is 0.75 mm galvanised steel. The Polyurethane inserted between the skins of the panels are non-flammable and also have acoustic and thermal insulating properties.  Mechanical resistance :D2(M)

Panel connections

The panels for CC Clean Concept Standard are self supporting. The isolation into the panel is injected between the panels. The air leak tightness is achieved by the sealing between the inside sheet of the panel and the other panels.

Air volume

Standard : 500-58000 m³/h

Thermal properties

Thermal transmittance :T2 Thermal bridging coefficient :TB2
